The purpose of the Mission and Outreach Ministry is to reach those who are outside the walls of our Church with the message and the love of Jesus Christ. We do this by ministering to all we meet, especially those who are unsaved, un-churched, homeless, incarcerated as well as those that are away from home attending school (Colleges and Universities). We are blessed to be able to serve in the mission field in our community, nationally and internationally.
All church members are welcomed/encouraged to join any of the following outreach ministries
Meets 1st Monday in March, June, September, and November at 7:00pm
This ministry provides assistance to members of the congregation and community with emergency financial assistance and crisis situations. The emergency Assistance Ministry meets on an Ad Hoc basis.
Jail & Prison
Meets the 1st Friday of each quarter at 7:00pm
This ministry provides Fellowship with and among the local inmate population at the Prince William County/Manassas Adult detention facilities through Bible Study and Worship Services on the 2nd Sundays of each month at 12:30pm. This ministry coordinates with and supports the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry.
This ministry is comprised of individuals who are excited about spreading the Good News (Gospel of Jesus Christ) in the community through identified activities throughout the year. The ministry also conducts an annual evangelism campaign in the surrounding communities, as well as an ecumenical Christian Evangelistic outreach through an evangelistic weekend event (Saturday Only or Saturday/Sunday) with surrounding Christian congregations.
This ministry is the coordinated efforts of the Evangelism and Missionary ministries. This ministry includes the “Beyond the Four Walls” Christian ecumenical partnership with local Christian congregations. This ministry recruits, trains, and oversees services and programs that are intentional in reaching out and into the surrounding communities to bring a physical witness and Christian love to our surrounding neighbors of all ages, generations, and cultures. This ministry develops outreach efforts and encourages the congregation to fully participate. The Outreach Ministry meets on an ad-hoc basis as programs and activities are developed.
The Missionary Ministry meets fourth (4th) Saturday at 11:00am.
This ministry assists the senior pastor and church in developing vision for a missionary minded church. It stimulates interest and a commitment of church membership to works of service in support of or immersion into the mission field, modeling ‘Great Commission’ priorities in personal ministry and daily living. This ministry collaborates with various ministries to design and develop a year-round program of mission awareness, education, missionary journeys, mission study tours, and mission work projects. This ministry oversees mission service projects (in conjunction with national, regional, and local mission programs or as a sole church event).
