Living Our Faith Through Service

The FBC Missions Ministry works to cultivate a mission-minded church, following Christ’s Great Commission through service, outreach, and everyday Christian living.

Throughout the year, we provide opportunities for our congregation to serve others through mission programs and service projects—locally, nationally, and internationally. Through these efforts, we live out First Baptist Church’s mandate of being discipled people, serving people, into a love relationship with Jesus Christ.

“And the King will answer them, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
— Matthew 25:40

Around the Corner. Around the World.

Our Mission in Action

Our Missions Ministry serves our neighbors near and far through a variety of ongoing programs, partnerships, and service projects.

FBC volunteers serving the community

Serving Locally

We help meet practical needs in our community through the weekly Barnabas Bread Basket grocery giveaway, quarterly meals for area shelters, Sunday meals for unsheltered neighbors, and emergency community assistance.

Supporting Families & Youth

We support single parents during the back-to-school and holiday seasons and create opportunities that encourage our children and youth to become mission-minded disciples who understand the importance of serving others.

FBC mission service beyond the local community

Serving Beyond Our Community

Our mission extends beyond our local community through mission trips, disaster response, international partnerships, food-packing events, Operation Christmas Child, and other opportunities to share Christ’s love through service.

From Our Community to the World

Our commitment to missions reaches from our own community to communities across the nation and around the world.
