Please join the Drama Ministry on Saturday, February 8 at 4 PM as we celebrate Black History Month with a Historical Presentation of Frederick Douglass presented by Nathan M. Richardson. He is a known poet, author, and historian presenting a one-hour dramatic presentation and question and answer period. All are asked to dress in African attire for the presentation.
Mr. Richardson will also share a workshop with us on February 8 from 10AM - 11:30AM. This workshop will engage everyone through demonstration, lecture, and discussion about key aspects of historical interpretation and reenactments. Everyone of all levels is welcome to attend. The Prince William Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta (PWCAC-DST) is seeking students in grades K-12 to join the MLK Youth Community Choir with director, Robin K. Butler. Participants will rehearse 4 times for a performance at the 40th Annual Dr. King Youth Oratorical Competition and Program to be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11am to 1:30pm at Mt Zion Baptist Church, 18410 Chapel Street, Triangle, VA 22172. Choir rehearsals are listed below; attendance at all rehearsals is encouraged, but not mandatory. No tryout is necessary. For more details, email pwc.mlkcommunitychoir@gmail.com.
