The First Baptist Church Youth Ministry guides and inspires our youth to learn, grow, and support one another by following the teachings of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Motto: Building Youth Disciples for Christ
The Youth Ministry provides, plans and executes a variety of activities throughout the year that support our youth in their development as young followers of Christ. These activities encourage bible-focused fellowship, community service, and talent development. See the specific activities listed under the section Youth Ministry Groups below.
The Youth Ministry also supports the Christian Education Ministry in one of its signature programs: Youth Discipleship Hour (YDH) which, since 2022, serves as the Sunday School experience for FBC youth and guests in grades K-12.
YDH is held on the First (1st) and Third (3rd) Sundays during the morning worship time and includes music, interactive biblical study, and prayer. The bible study curriculum is identical to that used in the adult Sunday School class. All youth in grades K-12 are welcomed/encouraged to join in worship and study during YDH.
Nursery
This ministry provides secure care and biblical instruction for all children ages 1-4 during worship services, events, and programs. In the nursery, the children joyfully engage in biblically-based learning activities.
