Bible Study

Meet every Wednesday or Thursday evening.

First Baptist Church Manassas [FBC] discipleship classes are our primary means of equipping and disciplining at FBC. Our classes are designed to help everyone discover Adonai’s (God’s) love and purpose for their lives and as the unified body of Christ Jesus. We have classes for every age and life stage, and we look forward to helping you and your loved one engage in the suitable class and community for you! Our purpose is best shared through our Kingdom mandate of becoming “Discipled People, Serving People, Into a Love Relationship with Jesus Christ.”

  • Children’s Class: At FBC, our goal in our Children’s Sunday School (Youth Discipleship Hour) class (YDH) is to reach and teach children K-5th grade in ways that will give them the greatest possible opportunity to become fully devoted followers of Jesus the Christ. YDH provides age-appropriate education, discipleship, fellowship, and fun in learning. YDH is held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, during the 9:00am Sunday morning worship, in the historic sanctuary. Upon arrival at FBC, parents are asked to register their K-5 children (ages 5-11) in the Fellowship Hall. The children are escorted upstairs to our Historic Sanctuary. YDH includes scripture and lessons based on the Sunday School focus for that Sunday, music, and learning basic Bible/Christian teachings that will sustain our children for a lifetime. We look forward to seeing your children in our Youth Discipleship Hour!
  • Teenager Class: FBC is an excellent place for those in grades 7 – 12 to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. It’s not easy being a teen … life is changing. You’re no longer a child but not quite an adult. You’re adapting to new friends, relationships, pressures, freedoms, and temptations. How can you thrive? Mentored in deepening their faith, growing in discipleship, and developing a personal relationship with Adonai (God), our teens journey through structured biblical courses/bible series that encourage real questions for real-world realities while learning, believing, and applying God’s wisdom to teenage life. The teenager class meets Thursday nights at 7:00 pm EST via Zoom for a 1-hour class. Teens can connect and participate from anywhere and everywhere.
  • Adult Class: Bible Study at FBC draws adults together in various stages of life, unified by the desire to seek the truth and wisdom of Adonai (God) through the study of Scripture, prayer, fellowship, revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Adults journey through structured biblical courses/bible series that challenge one’s understanding of Scripture to discover the truth and wisdom in God’s Word, apply biblical knowledge to a personal Christian discipleship for the various stages of adult life, and practice a stronger community witness. Adult class meets Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm EST via Zoom for a 1-hour class. Adults can connect and participate from anywhere and everywhere.
