We know that walking into a new place is sometimes difficult. No matter where you are in life, we are glad to have you among us. We do not judge… for that is God’s job, not ours. It is our desire for all who visit FBC Manassas to find a place to worship God and connect with people. There’s a place for you here whether you are just beginning to explore Christianity or have been a Christ follower for a long time.

We invite you to worship with us at 9:00 a.m. for service.
We start our services on time and, in general, we concluded by 10:15 a.m.
First Baptist welcomes you just as you are! There are no clothing requirements or judgments of clothing. Like the Lord God, we are concerned with ensuring Jesus Christ in you, not worrying about the clothes on you.
Common Questions
When you arrive you will be greeted by people who are genuinely happy to see you. Our service begins with engaging, live worship through music, followed by an expository message from the Bible. This means that we actually teach from the Bible, helping you to understand it and apply it to your life. All of this takes place in a casual and friendly environment where everyone is welcome, and everyone can belong.

What is our worship like? For First Baptist Church, all of life is an expression of our worship to the Lord God of all creation. Our gathered worship is filled with musical praise, welcoming fellowship and easy to understand scriptural-based, life-application sermons where the Spirit of God responds to hungry hearts and souls and helps you connect to our merciful God and grow in a saving faith and loving relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, toward greater works and a higher expression of love of God and neighbor. |
Will I be asked to give an offering? A financial offering is included within the worship service, however, there is no obligation to participate. First Baptist requests financial offering to help ensure we can continue to fund the ministries, missions, outreach, emergency assistance, and discipleship works of the kingdom of God. Our prayer is that you will see the kingdom works and opportunities of the Lord to work through First Baptist and consider giving financially to support the kingdom work around the world and around the corner.

As a guest , will I have to say anything or be singled out? At First Baptist, we do not single out nor require our guests to be recognized or say anything. For those who desire to be recognized, we joyfully offer guests a brief opportunity to stand. Those guests who stand are simply handed a welcoming card, and if desired, a microphone to greet the people.

Who We Are
First Baptist is a lively, vision-driven, Holy Spirit commissioned, fun-filled, multi-generation lighthouse, with people from all over Northern Virginia, to the local community and world with a plan to serve communities, one another and our neighbors (around the corner and around the world) as ambassadors for Christ’s in compassion and salvation. First Baptist is intentional in remaining an indispensable and connected neighbor that shines the light of God’s truth and social justice in Word and Deed. First Baptist looks for every opportunity to connect to people who are willing to belong and believe, serve and sacrifice, celebrate and laugh together in the Lord.
How to Get Connected
First Baptist offers “New Members” classes to persons interested in learning more about First Baptist or ready to join First Baptist. The classes help you to learn all the ministries and fellowship opportunities of First Baptist Church. All new members are connected to our “First Friends” ministry that connects you to a specific person (your first friend, but not your last one) to help you navigate the many offerings of fellowship, ministry and mission to help you get and stay connected. Interested persons can also request a meeting with the Senior Servant or a member of the pastoral staff to learn more about all that First Baptist Church is doing to “move the kingdom forward through faith.”
