FBC Officer Elections process

 

The Nomination Committee’s goal continues to be assurance of a fair, equitable, inclusive, and transparent election process for the selection of FBC Officers. The Committee will conduct voting using a hard-copy ballot process, as in previous years. Since the November 2024 Church Family Meeting is being held via Hybrid (in person & virtual), the Nomination Committee will hold in-person voting at the FBC campus. FBC disciples in good standing will need to stop by the FBC campus, during the designated hours shown below, sign in and vote. The hours available were established with flexibility in mind to allow all FBC disciples an opportunity to participate. We encourage all members to take this opportunity to vote.

Hard copy ballots will be mailed out to FBC Senior Saints that were identified or that request one.

A Sample Ballot is below and will be available on the church website for the next four weeks @ fbcmanassas.org.

 

Voting Dates and Hours:

Sunday, 11/03/24	8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Friday, 11/08/24	10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, 11/09/24	10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, 11/10/24	8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Voting Process:

• Individuals will be requested to provide their name, and verification of active membership will be made using the latest official church roster.
• Active members will be given a ballot to take back to their vehicle for completion.
• Once completed, place the ballot in the sealed envelope (provided) and return it to a Nomination Committee member where the ballot will be placed in a locked box.
• Ballots will be counted prior to the Church Family Meeting and results announced during the meeting which will held on 11/16/24 and begins promptly at 3:00p.m.
• There will be no acceptance of ballots on Saturday, 11/16/24.
