VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Manassas Christmas Parade
We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate activities for the Manassas Christmas Parade, including organizing and preparing materials for our float-build night. Many hands make light work, so come help us make this year’s celebration special.

Stay connected, there is even more to come from the Youth Ministry.

REHEARSALS SEPTEMBER 29 AND OCTOBER 2 • 7:00 PM
Calling All Women and Young Ladies
The Women’s Day Choir will have their first rehearsal on September 29 in the main sanctuary at 7:00 PM. Rev. Davis will be our director. Our second rehearsal will be Thursday, October 2, at 7:00 PM. We will sing on the first Sunday in October.
No experience is needed, just a willingness to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. We want to fill the choir loft. The Women’s Ministry

Dear FBC Families,

Our hearts are heavy following the recent shooting in our community that tragically took the life of a young girl. We know that several of our youth were nearby, witnessed what happened, or knew the young lady.

We want our young people to hear this clearly: you do not have to carry this alone.

After a traumatic event, young people may experience sadness, fear, anger, trouble sleeping or concentrating, or may simply not know how they feel. These reactions can be normal after something frightening or tragic.

Parents, we encourage you to check in with your children, listen without pressure, reassure them, and limit repeated exposure to news and social media about the incident.

Please know that the FBC Counseling Ministry and FBC Youth Ministry are here to support both our youth and their families in any way we can. If you or your child would like someone to talk with, pray with, or simply listen, please reach out to Dr. Daphne King at drdaphnelynnking@yahoo.com.

Additional resources for parents and caregivers are included at the end of this email.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.” Psalm 34:18

With love and prayer,
FBC Youth Ministry & FBC Counseling Ministry
